Inventory management for transport and logistics

Spare parts, equipment and consumables across terminals, in the workshop and in every vehicle. Every withdrawal on the right vehicle.

Used by over 600 companies across Europe, including:

Siemens Energy Stadt Ulm North Installasjon Nordiske Industriovner

A transport company has stock in several places at once: the terminals, the workshop and the back of every vehicle. When a truck sits in the workshop for a part that is actually at another terminal, you lose hours. And when spare parts are taken out without recording which vehicle they went to, the cost disappears as shrinkage.

Lagerdrift gives every terminal, workshop and vehicle its own location. The mechanic scans the part and picks the vehicle as a project, the terminal manager sees stock live, and critical parts alert before they run out.

Sound familiar?

The part is at the wrong terminal

The truck is in Drammen, the part is in Bergen, and nobody knew until the mechanic started searching.

Nobody knows what went on which vehicle

Spare parts are taken out without a vehicle, and the cost per vehicle becomes impossible to work out.

Terminal stock in Excel

Every terminal has its own sheet. Nobody sees the whole picture, and moves between terminals happen by phone.

The mechanic has to call to ask

Out in the field there is no way to check stock. It becomes calling, waiting and guessing.

How Lagerdrift solves it

One location per terminal, workshop and vehicle

Build the warehouse as it is: terminal, workshop, rack, shelf and every single vehicle. Stock per location, and moves between terminals with two scans.

Withdrawals per vehicle

Set up every vehicle as a project with a cost centre. Every part taken out is booked to the right vehicle, with mechanic, date and quantity.

Mobile app for field and workshop

The mechanic scans QR, barcode or NFC with a phone and sees stock at every terminal. No calling, no waiting.

Minimum stock per terminal

Critical parts get minimum and maximum per location. On a breach the responsible person is alerted, and the part goes into the purchase proposal with supplier.

Equipment and keys with a responsible person

Jacks, diagnostic equipment, strap sets and keys are lent to a person with a return date. Reminder when due, history per unit.

History and export

Stock history, withdrawals per vehicle and orders sit in the log with user and time. Export to Excel or connect via API and webhooks.

Up and running in a morning

No installation, no consultants. You set up the first warehouse yourself, and we help for free whenever you want.

1

Create terminals, workshop and vehicles

Every unit becomes a location. Vehicles are also set up as projects, so withdrawals can be booked to them.

2

Add parts and equipment

Import the spare parts list from Excel with supplier and price. Set minimum stock on what stops vehicles.

3

Scan every day

Mechanics and drivers use the mobile app. The office follows along in the web app and gets alerts.

Common questions

Can we book spare parts per vehicle?
Yes. Set up every vehicle as a project, ideally with a cost centre. When the mechanic takes out a part, they pick the vehicle, and you see all withdrawals per vehicle afterwards. The vehicle can also be a location for what stays in it permanently.
Can several terminals share one system?
Yes. Every terminal is a location with its own stock, and you see everything together. Moves between terminals are recorded in the app, so both sides see the right stock.
Does Lagerdrift do fleet management?
No. Lagerdrift keeps track of parts, equipment and material, not of driving, fuel or the service history of the vehicle itself. Connecting to other systems happens through API and webhooks.
Does the app work without coverage?
The app needs a connection to record. Some scanning flows hold on to the scans until you are back online, but the app is not built to work offline for long.
Can drivers see the stock in their own vehicle without being able to change everything?
Yes. Roles and permission groups control who can read, withdraw, move and edit. A driver can for example see and withdraw from their own vehicle, while the workshop controls the orders.
